Joe Trujillo
PRESIDENT
Joe Trujillo is Co-Founder and President of Xō Structure, bringing extensive experience in controlled-environment construction, modular building systems, and complex project delivery for commercial and industrial clients. Throughout his career, Joe has specialized in the planning, coordination, and execution of high-performance structures—including cold storage facilities, freezers, cleanrooms, and specialty enclosures—where precision, durability, and speed of deployment are critical.
Joe has worked closely with owners, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers to deliver customized structural solutions that integrate seamlessly with mechanical, electrical, and operational requirements. His background includes hands-on involvement in design coordination, material selection, constructability reviews, and on-site execution, allowing him to anticipate challenges early and guide projects toward efficient, cost-effective outcomes.
Known for his practical approach and strong client relationships, Joe focuses on aligning technical solutions with real-world business needs—balancing performance, schedule, and budget without compromising quality. At Xō Structure, he leads strategic vision, product development, and client engagement, ensuring each project reflects the company’s commitment to smart engineering, clear communication, and long-term value.

ED LAWLOR
VICE PRESIDENT
Ed Lawlor is Co-Founder and Vice President of Xō Structure, bringing more than four decades of experience in energy services, mechanical systems, and large-scale capital project delivery for commercial and industrial facilities. Throughout his career, Ed has led modernization, retrofit, and energy-efficiency initiatives totaling over $80 million in project work, with deep expertise in cold storage, HVAC systems, and high-performance building solutions.
Ed’s background spans technical operations, project management, and executive leadership, including oversight of a 1-million-square-foot cold storage facility with mechanical and thermal construction. He is known for his ability to bridge engineering, financial modeling, and client strategy—delivering solutions that improve performance, reduce operating costs, and support long-term asset value.
A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and LEED Accredited Professional, Ed holds multiple industry certifications and is an active member of organizations including ASHRAE, AEE, and the U.S. Green Building Council. At Xō Structure, he plays a key role in strategic planning, technical oversight, and client partnerships, helping ensure every project is engineered for efficiency, reliability, and lasting value.

ERICA LAWLOR
OPERATIONS MANAGER | MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Erica Lawlor serves as Operations Manager at Xō Structure, bringing a unique blend of mechanical engineering expertise, systems thinking, and operational leadership to the team. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, specializing in Mechanical Engineering. Her technical foundation spans industrial engineering, HVAC systems, field service operations, and complex project management across mining, manufacturing, and commercial environments.
Throughout her career, Erica has led and supported multidisciplinary projects involving system design, construction coordination, safety improvements, and performance optimization. Her experience includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer and Field Service Engineer, where she collaborated closely with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions aligned with strict technical and operational standards.
In addition to her engineering background, Erica brings strong operational and analytical capabilities, leveraging data, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination to keep projects running efficiently from planning through execution. At Xō Structure, she plays a key role in overseeing internal operations, supporting technical execution, and ensuring teams, timelines, and systems stay aligned—helping deliver structures that are as efficient behind the scenes as they are in the field.
